Xie Shi Chinese Painting Print – Mount Emei Emeishan

The brushwork in this Mount Emei Emeishan is the star; the subject is just the excuse — a Chinese landscape art print with real substance. Huaxin means the core image on paper, unmounted: that’s precisely what ships. Xie Shichen’s Ming landscapes balance grandeur with livability.

You get snow in the foreground, mountains behind it, and Mount Emei tying them together, the kind of Chinese calligraphy wall art worth framing well. There’s also Emeishan and pagoda worked into the scene. The inscription carries the painter’s voice as surely as the image carries the hand, and a worthy Chinese art print for framing. Seal after seal, the sheet accumulates history in red. The mountains do what mountains do in this tradition — put everything in perspective. A pagoda on the horizon steadies the whole composition.

Pair it with plain mounting and let the image do the talking — exactly what this kind of traditional Chinese painting reproduction should be. It needs no explanation on the wall, but it rewards one.
