Wang Chong Chinese Painting Print – Small Regular Script Kaishu

The Small Regular Script Kaishu isn’t just a subject here — in Wang Chong’s hands it’s practically a portrait. It comes the way print collectors like it: a loose huaxin sheet, unmounted. No famous name is attached; the painting earns its place by quality alone.

You get calligraphy in the foreground, handscroll behind it, and small regular script tying them together, the kind of Chinese art print for framing worth framing well. Supporting details include kaishu and seals. The regular-script inscription is a model of control — every stroke exactly where it belongs. Read the columns if you can; enjoy the rhythm if you can’t. The sheet has the matte, ink-on-paper presence that digital images can’t convey. Tonal range is wide — deep blacks against paper white, with every grey in between.

The kind of purchase you’ll still be glad about next decade, and a worthy Chinese brush painting print. For the tea room, the reading corner, or the bedroom wall — it asks little and gives much.
